I chose to paint FDR as part of the US flag because he was the only president that served 4 consecutive terms and had to lead the country through the great depression and 2nd world war. It is easy to point fingers and blame a leader for wrongdoings, but no one can truly understand what it takes to lead a country, and this president has done it for the longest term and during the toughest of times and events.
